It's sad to say another summer has drawn to a close, and I've spent most of the time I've had making bisque ware with the intention of sorting work for raku and stoneware firings.
I'm progressing quite well with textural stoneware- and the results continue to fascinate. Most importantly I am still enjoying playing with the glaze combinations. I'm using a matte turquoise glaze, and a layered volcanic and white top coat with a bronze Stephen Murfitt glaze. They are fired and some multi fired to 1240 c in oxidation.
Have a look at some of the results.
