Well January has been decidedly soggy. So has February too. Not ideal Raku-ing conditions here in the UK! I've kept busy by testing out my white lava glaze recipe again in the studio. Probably when time allows,it's something I'd be keen to develop and trial on sculptural forms too. It's a challenge to do something different from Raku. Also nice to be in the warm and dry for a change! It's nowhere near perfected yet, and there are plenty of turgid test tiles left over from my lava glaze "quest." But I'm happy with this big bowl, one of several I made and fired recently to stoneware temperature. It's a start. Lava glazed stoneware dish 2014- diameter approx 30cm
